The observatory Polifunzionale of  Chianti is a public structure that will deal it with astronomy, environment, meteorology and geosismica.

The project, been born by a proposal of the local association astrofili, sees today involved the town administrations of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa and Barberino Val d'Elsa, the Universities of Florence and Siena, the university association L.U.D.I.C.A. Onlus that deals it with astronomic popularization, the association environmental Friends of the Earth and the institute of superior education "St. Giovanni Bosco."

The building realized with the criterions of the bioarchitettura respects numerous standards of energetic efficiency and uses natural materials.

The insertion of the observatory of Chianti in the splendid frame of the Botanical Park of  Chianti brings an assistant value of particular importance, we can affirm that this observatory runs it to be in a future by now near a point of cultural and tourist reference for the territory.
